The Men They Couldn't Hang confirmed for Beachdown Festival!!
The Men They Couldn't Hang are pleased to announce thatthey'll be playing this years Beachdown Festival, which takes place on theSouth Downs near Brighton on the August bank holiday weekend from Friday 22ndto Monday 25th August.
Other new additions to the line-up are Jose Gonzalez,Nouvelle Vague, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Alabama 3, The Maccabees, Horace Andy& Dub Asante, Imperial Leisure, The Heavy, Young Knives, Brakes, Herculesand Love Affair, and Peggy Sue & the Pirates.
The Men They Couldn't Hang will be playing at 14:00 to 15:00on the main stage on Monday 25th. The perfect time spot!!
Acts have also been confirmed for the Brighton stage, andinclude Men of Splendour, Shona Foster, Transformer, 12 Stone Toddler, AcousticDregs, Doll & The Kicks, Heels Catch Fire, Drookit Dogs, Black Grass,Hardkandy, Chungking, Gloria Cycles, The Miserable Rich, Damn Dirty Humans,Bonobo, Stick it On, Roots Garden Sound System feat Kenny Knots on the Mic andLeroy Horns on Sax alongside Manasseh and MC Brother Culture, Bust the Box andThe Jazz Bop.
There are still more acts to be confirmed, plus the full DJline-up for the festival. The line-up of acts already confirmed includes De LaSoul, Lightspeed Champion, Reverend and the Makers, Terry Callier, Roy Ayers,Infadels, The Hat and Freakpower, Russ Dewbury, Bah Samba, Azymuth, DJ JazzyJeff, Jah Wobble All-stars and Amp Fiddler. With more names still to beannounced. As well as high profile names there will also be local talent fromthe Brighton music scene - club nights, record labels and DJ's are allinvolved. A day pass will cost £30 and a full weekend pass will bepriced at £85 and go on sale this weekend priced at £85. There will limitednumber of day tickets will be on sale as well as weekend tickets, whilstcamping facilities will be available and shuttle buses running every hourrunning from Brighton to the festival site and back from 10am until 1am whichmeans all local festival goers should leave their cars at home.
The parking facilities will be located off site, so as notto disturb or damage the natural environment of the south downs. Car parks willbe utilised at the nearby Hickstead Showground and at Shoreham Airport, wherebuses will ferry festival goers from their car directly to the camp site.
The food stalls on site will offer locally sourced andorganic menus, some provided by local brand name restaurants. The event is alsoaiming to be carbon neutral. .../...

Here are the latest Infos:
- The TMTCH classic 'Ironmasters' will appear on a free cover mount CD on the front cover of the German Rolling Stone Magazine - the March Issue on Political songs.
- Paul Simmonds will be making available a solo album called 'The Ghostly Radio' in late April/early May!
Also, Paul has written and played on 3 songs that appear on Naomi Bedford's debut album 'Dark They Were and Golden Eyed'. The songs are:
- 'Down the Road to the Sea'
- 'Call Me Darling'
- 'Pair of Shoes'.
